Allow Us To Be Frank

Westlife are back with their brand new Rat-Pack themed album Allow Us To Be Frank. The lp is a collection of the band's favourite classics from the golden Rat-Pack era.
Featuring tracks originally performed by legends such as Dean Martin, Sammy Davis jnr and Mr Frank Sinatra. Allow Us To Be Frank pays homage to those bourbon filled years when the Rat-Pack used to hang out and perform at The Sands Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Westlife fully capture the spirit and image of that unique time: with immaculately tailored suits and their hair smoothed back the band couldn't look more authentic.
The album is produced by long-time collaborator Steve Mac, and highlights the band's vocal prowess and ability. Westlife recorded the album with a full 60 piece orchestra at Phoenix Studios in Wembley over the Summer of 2004. It's their first record as a four-piece, and their strongest to date.
The album consists of 13 classic tracks including Fly Me To The Moon, Moon River, Ain't That A Kick In The Head, Come Fly With Me and Smile to name a few. Allow Us To Be Frank also includes an extra-special duet - The Way You Look Tonight - featuring the band singing alongside a fan plucked from total obscurity, and chosen after thousands of hopefuls auditioned in front of Shane, Mark, Nicky and Kian in a nationwide talent search earlier this year. The auditions will be part of an ITV primetime Westlife TV special 'Youˇ¦re The One' which will be screened in December this year.
Westlife spent time recording videos in LA and Las Vegas to complete the authentic look. Whilst in Vegas the band took time to visit some of the legendary Rat Pack locations, and performed at the World Music Awards where they were presented with an award for this year's Best Selling Irish Act.
"We had a great time recording this album. We have always loved the whole spirit and style of the Rat Pack era. They had a strong family vibe going on which is what we have in Westlife. The only problem was how do you choose an albumˇ¦s worth of material with such a strong catalogue to pick from? It was tough but we got there in the end," said Kian.

Westlife's new single will be Moon River, and that will be released on 1st November.
This song was taken from the movie - "Breakfast at Tiffany's", had recived Oscar the best movie's song before.
Westlife's new DVD - "Turn Around Tour 2004 Live in Stockholm" will be soon released on 15th November in UK.
Also, about their coming album, will be soon released on 8th November.

Some of the news said that the album's name will be "That's life", but that haven't proved by the official.

We've had thousands of entries to the You're The One competition, in which Westlife are looking for a female vocalist to duet on their new album and TV special.
The phonelines have now closed - the standard of entries has been really high, and the scale of the auditions look likely to eclipse those of Pop Idol by some distance...
Auditions take place in Dublin on August 22nd, Manchester on the 23rd and London on 24th. Once all the entries have been listened to, fans selected for the audition will be contacted.

Bryan will be back?!

Biran McFadden has reapplied to join westlife.
when ex-member brian (formerly bryan) heard the remaining four lads were holding auditions for some one to sing on their new album, he saw an ideal chance for a wind-up. and he has now called the audition hotline to leave his details and gave a demo of his singing talents in hope they'll recruit him.
On manchester's key 103fm radio he rang the number and left his datails as brian mcfadden 24 from dublin then proceeded to sing the lads cover of mandy.
I don't fancy his chances much.

Westlife is finding a new member to instead Byran!
They set up a phoneline and let the public to abide their info and sing a song.

The Westlife Republic Of Ireland Hotline number is: 1 550 234 888.
To enter, all you have to do is call the hotline, leave your details and sing your favourite song - and you could end up dueting with the band on national TV and on their new album!
Westlife will listen and choose some good participants and then let them to attend the interview in London in 24th and 25th next month.
The tv show will advertise the winner, he will also have a chance to attend the WL special tv show and sing a song. The most important is that he can instead Byran and record the next album with the other Westlife members.
That mean Westlife is unbreakable!!!!

Westlife Turns to Swing

Boy band Westlife have decided to go for a swing approach for their upcoming Christmas album.
They will cover swing classics from the likes of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr.
A TV special will be shown on December 18 in conjunction with the album's release.
"It's all Simon Cowell's idea. He reckons the album will be a huge hit. All those songs like Strangers in the Night, The Lady Is a Tramp, I've Got You Under My Skin and My Way are such classics that they just can't fail," an inside source said.

Westlife Say Good-bye to Boyzone...

Irish boyband Westlife have broken another record previously held by Boyzone - the foursome have now appeared a record 34 times at the Point Theatre and now a plaque to prove it...
Westlife's manager Louis Walsh and The Point's promotion company MCD teamed up to place a reminder on the wall of the huge venue to Westlife's meteoric success.
The boys with Bryan McFadden played 24 times there and another 10 times without him making a record 34 gigs at the Dublin venue. And that doesn't count the other two concerts they have played in the city at other venues.
The four boys looked proud-as-punch when unveiled the plaque at the weekend - but with a possible Boyzone reunion on the cards maybe their record isn't as safe as it looks?

The First Concert Without Bryan

Westlife have played their first concert without Bryan McFadden, weeks after he quit the top boyband.
Shane, Kian, Nicky and Mark sang at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, the first concert in a world tour.
The boys are playing seven shows at the Odyssey Arena at the start of their tour of more than 70 concerts around the world.

Bryan Quitted the Band

A really sudden and sad news for all fans, Bryan McFadden left the band. Bryan said he was quitting the spotlight to spend more time with his wife Kerry and their children. He wants to concentrate to his family life. As you know, Nicky, Kian, Mark, Shane and Bryan have decided that this is the ideal moment for Bryan to leave Westlife. Westlife announced that in the tradition of all great groups that they are now a four piece. Remaining members Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily have pledged to continue performing.
The group are naturally sorry to see Bryan go and these developments have come as a shock to them. Nicky, Kian, Shane and Mark will continue to give Westlife and their fans all their very best. Westlife would like to stress to all the fans that they need all their support at this time more than ever but not to worry, Westlife are here to stay. The band look forward to seeing them all again on tour very soon. Bryan added that he expects the group to continue their spectacular success and carry on for many years yet.
Although Westlife are now in four piece, without Bryan. We, fans should show our full supports to the boys.Westlife are Unbreakable!!

Five years on and the records keep coming for Westlife. At a stage when most boy bands have split up and gone their separate ways, it's very much business as usual for Bryan, Shange, Mark, Nicky and Kian.
"Turnaround" is their fourth studio album, the fifth including last year's "Greatest Hits" collection Unbreakable. And its 13 songs find Westlife evolving, while still doing what they've always done best. Because when you've found a successful recipe, why would you want to change it?
Many skeptics predicted that Westlife's greatest hits album would herals the end of the road. They were wrong. Like the title said, this band is unbreakable. Even after selling 30 million records.
Of course their lives have changed a little. Bryan, happily married to ex-kitten Kerry Katona, is now a proud father of two. Nicky tied the knot with the Irish primie minister's daughter, Georgina Aherne,
last summer. Shane followed him down the aisle at Christmas. But the bond that the boys have when they get together onstage or in the studio remains unbroken.
"5 years of Westlife and now our 5th album. To get this far makes us incredibly proud. The passion and love we have for Westlife is still 100%. We really enjoyed making "Turnaround" and feel that it's our best album to date and we can't wait for people to hear it. Westlife are going to keep going as long as the fans and the band are still enjoying it, at the moment we are loving it."

It's nearly time for the 2004 Meteor Ireland Music Awards, and Westlife are again nominated for the title they've won for the last 3 years in a row...
The band are shortlisted in the Best Irish Pop Act category, alongside D-Side, Simon Casey, Mickey Harte, Hazel Kaneswaren and Ronan Keating.
Voting is open to anyone in the Republis Of Ireland, and can be done either online via www.meteor.ie, or be texting VOTE POP 6 to 53500.
Voting closes on February 25th, and the awards themselves will take place on March 1st.
